That sounds rather uninspiring but it isn’t. Regional development means how does the region develop? What happens, what changes and how can we contribute to determining conditions in-situ? For all the differences there are between the various regions, they also have many things in common. Living in the countryside has its own appeal but it also has its problems. Long distances, the in places underdeveloped or relatively badly developed infrastructure, the decreasing population numbers and an ageing rural population… We can’t just simply accept these things. Therefore we’re campaigning for ways to encourage living and remaining in rural areas. The keyword for us is regional development.
